Maverick Swim Club

I cannot say enough positive things about Maverick Swim Club. I have 3 children swimming for the club at all different levels. This club has successfully met the different needs of each of my kids! The coaching staff is exceptional. They truly care about the whole child not just when your kid is swimming in the water but out of the water as well. There are experts in the field and have the skills to develop swimmers to perform at their best. My kids have grown not only as athletes but this club has taught them how to be good people, from hard work, perseverance and determination they are learning lifelong skills that will take them far in life. We have just had a short break in between short course and long course and my kids are counting down the days until practice starts again!! They love it and I cannot recommend this club enough!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Maverick Swim Club. Our girls started at 5 and 6 with the team and have grown into amazing swimmers who truly love to compete and enjoy the sport. All thanks to the wonderful, caring coaching staff along the way. We have some of the best coaches in the state and I can’t imagine having our girls anywhere else. They meet each swimmer where they are at, beginner to advanced, and celebrate them all! We are so lucky to be among the best while having FUN!

Maverick is one of those rare clubs that puts as much emphasis on the development and wellbeing of the child as they do success in the pool. The coaches foster a positive, encouraging environment for swimmers and truly care about these kids. We are so grateful to be part of the Maverick swim family!

When your swimmers (and their parents) go to open swim somewhere other than your home pool with your team gear with the club's name and web url openly visible, it might be a good idea to remember that you all...parents and swimmers...are ambassadors for your club. When multiple teenage boys climb into a lane where someone else (a girl) is already swimming, don't bother to ask if they can share the lane, ignore the posted pool etiquette rules by going 3-wide in the lane (with kickboards, mind you!) instead of staying in single file on the posted side of the lane, yell at the young girl swimming laps to "Get out of the way!" while swimming under and around in a way that is overtly intimidating, and the moms of the kids simply watch their kids do it, those kinds of things generally don't reflect well on your organization, the coaching staff, and anyone else affiliated with the club. This was the first time I ever heard of the Maverick Swim Club. Anytime anyone asks me if I know anything about the organization, I will gladly refer them to this review. It takes a lot to get me to post this kind of piece and I don't enjoy having to do it. I draw the line when a bunch of teenage boy

“Children first, swimmer second”. This is what Maverick Swim Club believes in and this is what the club does all the time. Our family has been with Mavs since 2006 and the coaches made sure that the kids will have fun learning the skills and techniques of swimming and incorporate them in competitions. They respect each and everyone no matter how young the swimmers are. They watch, they listen, they reach out, they coach and they understand. I have 5 kids who all started with Mavs and we never had any regrets joining this team at all. It has brought my kids to a level of competition where they get to compete in a national level YET never lost that fun in it. And because of that, my 3 older boys went to college and still compete in swimming (with scholarships). Once you’re a Maverick you’ll feel you’re part of a huge and loving family. And we still have 9 more years or 2030 (or beyond) to be part of this amazing team. You’ll never ever go wrong with Maverick Swim Club. GO MAVS!!!
